That's more like it

My Alma Mater - Swarthmore College- was once a hotbed of protest. The community took pride in its non-conformity. But of late - the school has strayed from its hard-core Quaker protest roots. Thus, it is heartening to receive a notice from the school president that some sort of protest has been staged on the campus - presumably pro-Gaza - even under threat and eventually the reality of a police raid.

I have no idea how much support there was for this protest - but given the obvious rise of totalitarianism in our society, it is time that the academy cease and desist from being the lapdogs of the police state.
